Cancer Connections Public Lectures

The Cancer Connection Lecture Series was established to increase awareness and education around cancer prevention. The lectures are public presentations followed by a question and answer period. The Cancer Foundation actively searches for experts who specialize in lifestyle and healthy living research as it pertains to cancer prevention. We aim to offer two lectures a year and welcome your feedback and suggestions for upcoming guests.

Past Lectures:

The Health Benefits of OMEGA 3
Dr. Jeff Leighton visited Ottawa to be the second speaker in the Cancer Foundation’s lecture series.  Dr. Leighton is a biochemist who specializes in natural products that can be used as preventative medicine. He joined us in Ottawa on October 14, 2009 for a presentation on the health benefits of omega-3 fatty acids in treating and preventing cancer inflammation.  A special thanks to our event sponsors: The Glebe Apothecary, Tracy Arnett Realty and the Hampton Inn Conference Centre.
