Survivorship Task Force
About the Task Force
The Cancer Foundation has enlisted the help of corporate and community leaders to help raise $2 million for the programming at the new Cancer Survivorship Centre.
The Survivorship Task Force is working to raise the $2 million before the opening of the Maplesoft Centre in Fall 2011.
The Maplesoft Centre, Eastern Ontario’s first Cancer Survivorship Centre, has been designed to look and feel like a home, however its 10,000 sq.ft. of space will serve as a day facility to accommodate a vast array of programs and services for local cancer patients, their families and caregivers. People like your neighbours, your coworkers, and perhaps even your own loved ones will be welcomed here, at no cost and without a doctor referral.
The Centre will be open to all patients and their families in Ottawa and region counties and the Outaouais – a total population of 1.5 million people!
Initiated 100% by the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, the construction portion of this project has received extremely generous support from the Maplesoft Group of Companies, the Provincial & Federal Government Stimulus Fund, Broccolini Construction Ltd., and dozens of local construction partners and trades who are committed to ensuring the Centre is built on schedule by Spring 2011.
