Cancer Foundation Signature Events

Fight for the Cure - Fight for the Cure is a gala event rivaling Vegas fight nights.  The evening features a celebrity amateur boxing bout, pitting two first-time white collar boxers challenging the other.  Boxing lovers will enjoy ring-side access to 5 high-level amateur boxing bouts, a reception, fine dining and special guests.

The Weekend to End Women’s Cancers - The Weekend to End All Women’s Cancers is a prime example of how people can make a difference in the fight against all women’s cancers.  During one amazing weekend in June, women and men unite in the nation’s capital to walk 60 kilometres in a bold display of courage and commitment. It’s a weekend of hope, as we honour lives lost, celebrate survivors and help bring the best cancer care to women who so desperately need it.

Do It For Dad! - Do It For Dad! takes place every year on Father’s Day.  It’s a celebration for the entire family organized to raise awareness and funds in the fight against men’s cancers.  Participants can choose the 5km or 10km timed run or the 2km Family Walk and then treat Dad to a Father’s Day breakfast.

The Grape Stomp - Join us for a grape cause as teams of 4 compete against each other to win the “I Stomp on Cancer” Relay trophy! In partnership with the Preston Street BIA, the Cancer Foundation hosts this 4 step relay race in support of lung cancer research. The event take place in the heart of little Italy and is grounded in Italian tradition.

Quest for a Cure – A one-of-a-kind Charity Adventure Race inspired by 2 firefighters who connected adventure racing with the race to survive cancer.  A successful adventure racing team works together to overcome challenges (biking, hiking, swimming and orienteering), not unlike the team of doctors, patients and medical community work together in the fight against cancer.

Cancer Connections – Public Education Series
