Sakto Corp. The Grape Stomp

Sakto’s Grape Stomp is an exciting 3-step team relay race designed in partnership with the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation and the Preston Street BIA to raise funds for cancer research within our community.

The event will take place on Sunday, September 25 as a featured event of the La Vendemmia celebration.

Scotiabank-Telus Nordic Walk for Cancer Survivorship


October 30, 2011

On October 30, poles will be hitting the pavement for Canada’s FIRST Scotiabank-TELUS Nordic Walk for Cancer Survivorship in support of the new Cancer Survivorship Centre.

With each step taken and each dollar raised, participants will be ensuring that thousands of local cancer patients and their families have access to the Maplesoft Centre and the innovative and inspirational programs that will be offered free of charge.

'Stache for Cash

October 15-November 19, 2011

This fall, The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation and Ottawa Fire Services are working together to raise funds for the purchase of a da Vinci Surgical System for the Ottawa Hospital - General Campus. Recruits will grow moustaches from mid-October to mid-November and ask their family and friends for their support.

Join them and take take part in this smoldering campaign. Registration is free and if moustaches aren’t your thing, don’t worry! They’ll grow on you.

Bust a Move For Breast Health

April 21, 2012

On April 21, hundreds of participants will unite for a very special day-long fitness fundraising extravaganza in support of breast health in Eastern Ontario! This upbeat, entertaining, energizing, home-grown event promises to be unforgettable.

Funds raised will ensure that local residents have world-class breast care close to home; shorter wait times for diagnosis and treatment; access to research and new therapies and overall improved quality of life – which includes the new Maplesoft Centre, Canada’s first centre for cancer survivorship.

Bras For A Cause

Women from across the region cleaned out their closets in 2010 to ‘support’ a great cause. 

Thanks to the generosity of our community - Cardel Homes, TELUS, Brown’s Cleaners and St. Laurent Centre donated $45,000 to the Cancer Foundation through the Bras For A Cause event.  Another $5,000 was raised through the 'Celebrity Bra' campaign.  Congratulations!Read [ + ]

Some of the region’s most influential people are opening the doors to their homes to host unique fundraising dinner parties in support the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. The Celebrity Chefs Club is an innovative new approach to fundraising matching local philanthropists with some of the region’s top chefs.
