Ottawa South Race Day
On June 7, 2012 300 children from Steve MacLean Public School in Ottawa, Canada performed a flashmob to promote the South Ottawa Race Day. In partnership with the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, all proceeds from the South Ottawa Race Day will support brain cancer research and treatment in memory of Heather Geddie.
Heather was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) brain tumour and fought a two-year battle with brain cancer with strength, wisdom and courage. Her spirit remained positive throughout her illness and she inspired everyone who crossed her path. People like Heather who are diagnosed with brain cancer often have limited treatment options.
More research is needed
The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation is working hard to change that by working with dedicated volunteers in our community like the Inspire Group, who are organizing the South Ottawa Race Day in support of brain cancer research.
Join us on September 30, 2012 for the South Ottawa Race Day.
