WHAT IS DINE-A-RAMA?
Dine-A-Rama is a dynamic event in support of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, where local restaurants and bars join together in a one day fundraiser and donate a portion of their proceeds to support cancer care right here in Ottawa.
The event has been on hold for a few years, but now the Cancer Foundation is excited to announce it is returning for 2017! Canada’s 150th birthday is the perfect opportunity to share a drink or a meal at a favourite restaurant with visitors to Ottawa, and to show our community spirit and commitment to improving local cancer care.
Dine-A-Rama was inspired in part by Luke Rochefort from St. Louis Bar and Grill, who survived testicular cancer that had metastasized to his lungs, abdomen, and brain. Today, Luke is alive and cancer free thanks to cutting edge advancements in radiation technology through the Cyberknife and a world class clinical trials program, which were funded right here in Ottawa by Dine-A-Rama.
To date, Dine-A-Rama has raised more than $150,000 in support of local cancer care. We hope your participation will make this year the best one yet and continue to provide HOPE to those facing a cancer diagnosis in our community.
