Banana Chai Muffins

Serves: 12



3 ripe bananas

½ cup unsweetened applesauce

½ cup natural almond butter

¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil

2 tsp pure vanilla extract

½ cup coconut flour

⅓ cup rolled oats

¼ cup hemp hearts

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

1 tsp ground cardamom

1 ½ tsp cinnamon

½ tsp ground ginger

¼ tsp salt



  1. Preheat oven to 350o F. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper baking cups.
  2. Whisk bananas, applesauce, almond butter, olive oil and vanilla together.
  3. Add coconut flour, oats, hemp hearts, baking powder, baking soda, spices and salt and mix well.
  4. Divide batter evenly among 12 baking cups and bake for 20-25 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes.
